Halloween Pumkins

We carved our pumpkins last night. Katherine at first didn't want to touch it, but then had fun digging everything out… but she had to say "EWWWW" each time she pulled stuff out.
For Katherine's we did one of her favorite shows.. Blues Clues. She thought it was so cool when we turned off the lights and lit the candles. She sat there and stared at them for about 20 minutes.

Nice Fall Day at the Beach

We took a drive down to Galveston just to get out of the house and to see what it looks like a month after Hurricane Ike hit. There are so many houses that will and can never be rebuilt. The state park where we spent most of our summer, has been torn apart. It was hard to even recognize it. But a two year old doesn't notice, Katherine was so happy to go play in the sand. She kept inching toward the water, but I told her it was too cold to go into. So we made sandcastles and drew pictures in the sand instead.

October - Texas Ren Fest

This past weekend we took Katherine to her first Texas Renaissance Festival. Taking a two year to a large festival is a brave thing, it can either go really good or really bad. Glad to say Katherine was very well behaved and had a great time. I thought she might be afraid of the people dressed up, but she couldn't take her eyes off the dragon! People even stopped and asked to take her picture. One lady told me that she looked like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. I don't see it.

September - Trip to Bastrop

With Hurricane Ike approaching, we decided to take the opportunity to go visit Tim, Stacey, and Turner in Bastrop. They moved out there about 5 months ago, so we wanted to see their new place and enjoy a town that had power. We took the kids to the park, to feed the ducks, went shopping in old downtown, and played in the pool. They had lots of fun.

September - Wildlife Park

On Labor Day, we wanted to get out of the house for a little while. We took Katherine to the Wildlife Park in Alvin. She got to see lots of animals and help feed them. Her favorite was the donkey.. I think because she has watched Shrek 800 times. Her least favorite animal was the ostrich.

Pics of Katherine

August - Russell and Lara's wedding

Well the time finally came for the big day! Katherine was the most beautiful flower girl ever! Matt was her escort.. well he ended up throwing the flowers when she got stage fright. It was a beautiful wedding and we all had a blast the whole weekend. I think Katherine danced every song!

July - San Jacinto Battleship

July - Great Grandparents Visit

Russell got married in August, so my grandparents came in a month early to spend time with the family. Katherine loved spending days with Granny and Grandpa. We took them all over Galveston.

June - Katherine's 2nd Birthday

How two years have just flown by so fast. One minute we were bringing her home from the hospital, the next she is bossing Mocha around and running the household. She is two going on 16! She loves cell phones, purses, and high heels... what a girly girl we have! And the tea parties!

June - Wedding

Here are some pics from a wedding we went to in June.

June - Kat's First Astro's Game

Katherine got to enjoy her first Astro's game this summer. Even though the season was not a good one, she had a blast. And of course stole the attention from the game going on.
