Katherine's Room

We have finally finished decorating Katherine's big girl room, it's a lot cuter in person. She thinks it's "beautiful"! She really likes her flowers on the wall.
Next it's on to Colin's room!

Happy Valentines Day!

Today Katherine's class is having their Valentines Day party. I dressed her up in her V-day outfit from Grandma and Pawpaw Eyring, we made cookies last night for her class, and she is giving everyone at school a Dora card with a red heart sucker. She was very excited this morning, she ran into school saying "Happy Valentines Day". Her teacher was impressed that she could say it, I told her we have been practicing it for about a week now.

Shopaholic or Bag Lady????

Katherine is going to grow up to be a shopaholic or a bag lady.... you decide.

Nap Time at the Eyrings Part II

This just proves that Katherine will literally play until she passes out.
Sunday she woke up about 6:00am and was on the go ever since. We played with all the toys in the game room, we played in the backyard, we played in the front yard, we ran around the house and chased the animals. Grandma and Papa stopped by and we played some more. She didn't have a nap at all. Come 5:00pm, I was fixing dinner, and I saw her take her "puppy" and "kitty" to the front door, I asked Matt to check on her, and he just started dying laughing and told me I had to see what she was up to.
And this is what I found.

Katherine's New Haircut

A new haircut place opened by us that specializes in Children's haircuts, Snip it's. It's decorated in bright colors, has cartoons going on, they give them cookies, a surprise when they are done. They made the haircutting experience so much fun for all of us. They had a video camera and t.v. where the kids could watch themselves, so Katherine loved dancing in front of it and watching herself on t.v. She had a lot of fun getting her haircut. We will definitely be going back there.

C-Section Scheduled and NAME PICKED!

We got a call from the dr. and our c-section is in the books for Friday April 3 at 8:oo am at the Women's Hospital of Texas in the medical Center. So less than two months to go!
We have also picked a name, pretty sure this is it, since we have been calling him this for two weeks, but name is subject to change.
We gave Katherine the option of what to name her baby brother: Dylan, Colin, or Tristan. She picked Colin. She has been calling him baby Colin for two weeks now. And she says it pretty well.
So we have picked Colin Alexander.

Play-Doh Man & Katherine

Katherine got a set of Play-Doh from my parents last weekend, and we have been playing with it non-stop. Here is a picture of the play-doh man we made the other day. When I asked who it was, she said it was Russell.
Also some pics of Katherine this morning making faces. I told her she was silly and she said "Yes, I am silly Mommy.. HA HA HA" with an evil laugh. Man, she is going to be a handful when she gets older. She likes to make "sad face" then "happy face", she is going to be a movie star.
She is really enjoying reading lately. Yesterday, when we got home from school, she went to her room, sat on her bed, and flipped through books. Matt asked if she wanted us to read to her and she said no, she was reading the books. She stayed up there for about 30 minutes just flipping through books.
She is doing pretty good on her ABC's.. Makes it to P, then it gets a little jumbled up. She is able to count to 10 on her own, then the number after that get mixed up... but we are working on it.

Because He Loves Me

Matt was very nice to me last week. He sent a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses, my favorite flower, to my work. The card said "To Nurse Eyring, thanks for taking care of me".
He sent them to thank me for taking care of him after the surgery. He's so sweet!
Everyone at work kept asking me if it was my birthday or anniversary, I told them no.. I just have a great husband!
