Hiking in Austin... some amazing sights!

Katherine had a 3 day weekend from school, so we decided to take advantage and meet up with my parents in Austin. We had so much fun and did so much HIKING! Saturday we started with a hike to Hamilton pool, then we hiked to West Cave Preserve. Sunday we got up and drove to Inks Lake State Park and hiked there and grilled hamburgers by the lake. Then we went on a cave tour at Longhorn caverns.

Sunday evening Matt and I got to have a date night on Lake Travis, sunset and drinks, while the kids stayed back with my parents. It was a nice evening just the two of us. Monday we got up and went to the Austin Botanical gardens for a nice outing, then back in the car to drive home. We kept busy on our trip but got out in our nice fall weather and got to see places we have never been before. The kids of course had lots of fun. After the first hike on Saturday, Katherine said " Could this day get ANY better??".. I take that as a good sign.

We have over 150 pictures from the trip, but here is my short list of just some of the great shots we got. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them to see more detail.
